Create curve with given length

Hello there,

I'm trying too automaticly edit a curve length in Z - direction when I alter my "wishing"- length. But I cant get it too work properly. The further I go from the original length the more difference between my wishing length and the result.

Can someone check what I'm doing wrong? Or if it is even possible what I want.
