Corners for Offset on Srf

This question may be better place in a rhino discussion board, but it seems relevant to gh as well.

The standard offset component offers a "Corners" input where one can specify how corners should be treated by the offset (none, sharp, round, smooth, chamfer)

The Offset on Srf component (and the related Rhino command) do not offer this option - the corners are always rounded.

Is this a fundamental limiation of the offset-on-surface operation (seems unlikely) or a limitation of the Rhino implementation?

(Basically, I'd like to have sharp corners for a curve offset on a surface - is there a way to do this?)
