Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I need your help once again. I have a set of points connected with lines that create a triangular structure and I'm trying to set up a definition where i can move each of those points in diferent directions, and the lines that connect them move with them, so that I can then make a 3d roof structure with it. there must be an easy way of doing that on grasshopper but since I'm still a newbie I can't figure it out. Any thoughts?

I have attached a couple of different methods that i tried but i think i'm taking a completely wrong road of making it. please help me..

You want to individually modify a given node ? (with some "auto" strut clash detection [ Note: connectivity trees is a must]).

If so ...  this is very easy but only via code especially when a history of actions (or "variants") is required - a must for similar cases.

Notify if you need such a solution. It could be "very similar" with this attached (load R file fist). Of course this just picks nodes and adds them to local/global ("history") collections ... but the approach would be the same  Try to get the gist of it and if you can master it ... just notify.

In the mean time: do you know what connectivity trees are? (use for instance Sandbox on your line graph and try to get the gist of what all these "indices" mean).
