Construction a surface with different U and V degrees?

Hi All,

Anyone have a quick tip on constructing a surface from a series of points in which the U and V degrees of the resulting surface aren't the same?

I am venturing down the path of making a surface from a network of curves but I don't think  that is going to work, and it seems far less efficient since U and V degrees are built-in to the Rhino surfaces themselves... Surely there must be a way of telling Grasshopper what degree I am after for a new surface built from points?
