Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey Guys!

I wanna build the geometrical structure of the City tower by Louis Kahn.

I started with the levels (built a grid inside my curve and moved it with series) and now I want to connect the points between the levels.

But I have a problem with getting the right points. For example: I want to connect the first points of level one and two, then of two and three and so on. How could I tell GH to do this in a few steps?

I hope you understand what I want to do.

Thanks for your help!

Cool!  The tower shows more connections than the blue lines here, but that's a detail that can be worked out somehow...

This is a cumbersome effort to add more diagonal bracing.  The green group are diagonals from each point; the code after that is an effort to select the shorter diagonal of each pair...  Not entirely satisfactory.  Into the weeds of data trees!

Some of the diagonals in your photo appear to go through the interior, not just limited to the perimeter as I tried to do?  Changing the values in the panels feeding 'Repeat Data' and 'Shit List' will alter the results.

By the way, the camera in your Rhino file is at 17mm, a _wide_ angle that distorts the rendering, as in previous image.  This one uses 55mm.
