Conditional Statement inside Function Component

Hi all. I know that using scripting components will fit my needs, but I am willing to show to my students how to use the function components F1,F2F3, FN and their power.
I do remember that there was some sort of syntax when writting the expressions that would allow to declare conditional statements, formating and other interesting features but I haven't been able to find it so far.

Could someone please help me with this?
