Component Wish: Control display width of curve

I was messing around with a definition I pulled from the group that would take a curve, offset if on both sides making a flat ribbon surface.

I started playing around with using it to make 2d patterns.  I then thought would it be out of the scope of Grasshopper's preview geometry to be able to control the pixel width in the viewport.

Does this make sense?
