Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello

I'm completely new to this forum, but I've been following the discussions for quite a while now.

My question: I've got a Mesh consisting out of a list of lines. The goal
is to colourgradient them concerning their amount of steepness in
z-direction, meaning starting from a green colour for a steepness of 0°
to a red colour at a steepness of 90°. Is there a possibility for
achiving this with the evaluate curve definition?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Michael,

The gradient component won't accept a vector as an input. However, you can decompose the vector and use the Z amount as a quantity of steepness.

Hi Michael,

lines will be automically converted to vectors, so all you have to do is Unitize the vector and get the absolute of the Z component to get an indication of steepness.
