algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Looking for the current status of the cluster feature. I know that it was originally intended to save the cluster definition inside the parent definition, is this currently the case? I couldn't see how to update changes made inside the cluster definition to the parent, it keeps asking where to save the file. Is the current best workflow to save it as a separate file?

If you do save as a separate file and insert as cluster does the cluster update when the external file is updated?

Also for future versions of the cluster component interface, it would be great if you could rearrange the order in which the inputs and outputs are displayed on the component.

Not yet.

You can, the order in which inputs and outputs appear is the same order in which the cluster arrows are (the highest one is first, the one below that second and so on)

Are clusters currently stored in the parent file? If so how do you update or save changes to the cluster?

The cluster I am working with was created from existing components. I am assuming the by, "the order in which inputs and outputs appear is the same order in which the cluster arrows are" you mean when right-clicking on the cluster component. This order was set by the automatically generated inputs/outputs. So do I just need to figure out which one is first in the list and rearrange which input/output is connected to which component so that it lists in the order I want and then rename it? That's quite a hassle for a large cluster definition.

Clusters aren't really ready for use. They don't have good UI and they cannot be easily linked/reused/modified. All these things will come, but not until after I fix a lot of the cluster bugs that have been reported so far.
