Catenaries inside inflatable

Hi! i'm trying to draw a catenary system (fig B) to replace a rib (fig. A) whose function is to avoid an inflatable membrane to expand.

Is there a way to draw catenaries over a surface?

And which would be the best way to get the right lenght according to both the distance between start and end point, and the preassure inside the "baloon"?

I hope i was clear..

I don't know about an algebraic method for this, but you might try a numerical method.

Do you know about Kangaroo?
