CANVAS SEARCHING LOGIC GH

I wonder whats the searching logic for GH

being working on massive definitions I like to rename each component with the choosen variable name .This help me to maintain a good order and to promptly know what running inside a given component

when I am working on the canvas and do need to collect some variable and process it to my needs I'd better take it from the closer component where it's is stored. To do this i use the searching tool and i'd expect to be directed to the closer place but this does not happen.

When i seek for the variable "XYZ" by typing its name on the searching tab GH never carry me to the closer available box but rather on some area of the canvas( sometime very remote area )

could my desired searching logic be somehow achieve by working on the settings?
