algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Can't figure this out: connecting points

I attached the files to understand it...
I want to connect the points as in the image: 2 by 2 with diagonals.


I can do it with no problems in the even lines but the same process applied to the odd lines generates a mess: why?
I spend the whole day trying to figure it out!!!

Any help is more than welcome!
