Breaking a Mesh contour surface into sections depending on their angle of slope?

Hi guys, I have a mesh contour surface and i want to break it into different sections based on their angle of slope. Is there a possibility that i could just select say all the 15 degrees sloped surfaces from the mesh surface? 

And is it possible to do the same with the heights of the surfaces? selecting a specific height of surface on the mesh?

Please help
