algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Boids

I made a Mr.Reynold's simplified algorythm both with hoopsnake and with vb. Both are not as efficient as can be (as seen on youtube). I need to simulate around 2000-3000 birds - have you seen any good solution for this task ?
