Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello, all this is my first post I would appreciate your help! I have only found tutorials for a 2D surface attraction variation so that's why I'm posting this.

How can I create an aggregate of a 3D geometry based on an attraction system that allows me to control the openings and angles of all the modules on the screen?

How do I choose a set min and max range for it to compute the rest of the distances in between so i can document the computation?

Is it possible to apply attraction points to existing geometry in rhino?

Approach 1. Created the geometry through grasshopper using points and surfaces then arrayed them for the 4"X12."(basically done in rhino) I do not know how to create a system that allows me to control the openings based on a list/range.

Approach 2. Downloaded Paneling Tools and started by creating two grids. From which I used the same geometry from previous file as a custom cluster to apply to the grid. The geometry does not maintain itself as I manipulate its dimensions.

Below is what I'm trying to do but on a flat surface and with the ability to manipulate both openings (top and bottom surfaces) of the 3D geometry.

Thanks again for helping me! I have attached the rhino file with the geometry.

here is a much cleaner version of the two grid system method. Also a sketch of my thoughts on how I think attractors work in grasshopper.

Hi.

Attached definition is one of very basic attractor responsive module system.

Thank you so much for you help! I'm learning a lot since I started yesterday haha

What do I have to do to manipulate each module individually according to a certain range/list of distances? For instance module 1=D1, 2=D2, 3=D3....etc?

If i designate the min/max in the range will it calculate the rest of the modules in-between?
