Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am new to GH so any help getting me up and running with this would be super appreciated.

I can't seem to get past this issue of arraying the profile curve I created along the longer curve.

I tried putting a bounding box around the curve and using the two bottom vertices as the connecting points on the line although I can't seem to get the curve to array on the line.

Ultimately, I would like to revolve each instance around the longer curve (as the axis) and transform each instance (i.e. ones on the left will be longer and slightly bigger - ones toward the right get slightly shorter/smaller)... not sure how to accomplish this either although need to figure out how to array the profile crv first.

*I'm not sure if arraying is the right word because I don't think I want to actually use an array component so another way of explaining the main issue is that I can't map the profile curve to repeat itself on the longer curve.

Thanks!

Is this what you are after?

This is brilliant! Thank you so much for the solution. I have yet to understand a good deal of it due to my lack of experience though I'm super glad to have the help.

Some small technical questions that escape me if you get to it... What's the invert on the shift lift wrap input doing? Clearly the definition doesn't work without it but I haven't seen that before and a quick search hasn't led to anything. Secondly, is remapping numbers a different way to reparametrize? Also, I'm having trouble grasping the shortest list input section used to then specify a direction. What's generally happening from the evaluate length (of the long crv) component to the orient input?
