Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

Does anybody know how I can apply this adaptive octopus facade to a mesh facade? As the definition only can use a surface I cannot apply this facade at the moment. Any help would be much appreciated! I have attached the grasshopper octopus facade below but I am unable to attach the voronoi mesh facade that I am currently working with as the file is too large. The principles would be the same if any one is able to figure out how to apply the octopus facade to a simple mesh.

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

I'm usually showing something similar to the central part of the definition during trainings in Barcelona.
It uses a gradient to visualize solar angles. In general, these angles go from 0 to 180 degrees.
You can then improve this simple definition and use it together with the one by Ted Ngai. You need the sun vector from that one.

I hope this helps,
