Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am quite new to Grasshopper, and i am trying to divide a surface i a way that the divisions will be more / less dense according to orientation or distance to atractor point or curve,

i would really appreciate some help on that matter,

thank

allot

Hi Tanya,

there are several ways to divide a surface.

Maybe you can be more specific?

Do you want to create subsurfaces or points?

Here are also some links with nearly the same question I think, maybe you will find an answer in one of this discussions, if not feel free to ask further.

Best,

Martin.

Thank you very much for your response,

but none of those definitions couldn't help me, what i mean is a free form surface (from Rhino) divided in to a grid and populated with an element but the thing is that i want the divisions of the surface not to be all the same, for example the part of the surface facing up the divisions should be smaller and the parts that are closer to the ground larger. ( I hope that i am clear... sorry if i am not) i am attaching my attempts...

Thanks in advance!

Tanya

Can you post the attached file(s) again, I think the download link is broken.

I'm not really shure if I understood correctly but do you mean something like this (see attached)?
