a problem on trimming and doing other

Hi

I would like to create a grid as show in jpg, then I would like to trim the unequal grid with curve that I have. then I use area to scale the trimmed surface. There are some overlapping each other. I would like to join these separate surface into a surface or trim the overlapping inorder to create a surface.

I have tried to look at different method on trimming surface but unable to get what I want.

Please advice what I can do.
