3D Structure grid

Hi there!, I'm trying to set a 3d structure grid that doesn't have the central part.
It is my first definition with grasshopper and i think could be a different and fastest way to do it but i dont figure it out.
I think the problem of my definition it is that everything is merged in a mesh, i'm trying to merge as solid but it s gonna take a lot so i dont think is that the solution.

The next step will be the deformation of this grid so i think will be better if i can convert this mesh in something else, do you have some advices?

Thank in advance, if you require some additional file just tell me.

Hi.

If you can use "T-Splines", tspipe is one of simple options.
