Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi, I'm new to grasshopper and now trying to apply the voronoi shape into a structure.

I've already built the voronoi and used 'map surface' to make it.. Here is what I got now:Now I want to created another surface to fill the gap (the red part) between two edges of each unit . But failed to figure it out myself.

So any solutions that could help me with it?

Thanks!

Do you want a 3d Struture voronoi or voronoi diagram applied to surface ?! Well, Did you mean this kind of result ?!

Hi Joaquim, in this case I just want to apply the diagram into a surface. here is what I got before. But each unit is not connected with each other so that i can't make a physical model of it.

So generally i'm just trying to build a structure to link these pieces together.

But yea, the shape you showed me is kind of like what I want.

I Think this approach will help you for sure. In these case, i introduce an attractor , [ based on Formul[a]rch stuff ], but in your case you can remove the attractor. I think that Formul[a]rch stuff, will help you to understand parametric approach to design. http://formularch.blogspot.pt/

Hi Joaquim,

Could you please share the grasshopper file with which you generated the above images?

I tried to copy what you are showing in the last image, but it generates a wiered brep that is larger than surface boundary!

Also I wonder how you generated the smooth surface in the first image?

Thanks.
