lines not joining to specified points....

In this file I have generated a rectangle grid. After That I have raised mid points of each rectangle side. Now I want to join all these raised midpoints which are purple in image below to center of rectangles. when I am using line command it is messing up....I think its issue of data matching or trees...I have very little knowledge of trees...please guide  me.
