Hi Paula,

These messages actually come from the "Gridshell" components developed at the Ecole des Ponts, not from Kangaroo. Those components are only distributed internally (for workshops for example) and have an expiration date. When this expiration date is passed, these error messages are displayed at Grasshopper startup, and the components will not work in your scripts. Anything else in Grasshopper still works as usual.

To remove the component and the messages, delete 'Gridshell.gha' in your Grasshopper libraries folder (usually %APPDATA%/Grasshopper/Libraries).

You will have to contact the person who originally gave you that file if you want to continue using it.

Hi Pierre,

I have the same error message as Paula. I checked and have no Gridshell.gha in the lib.

Would you have a lead on why GH is still retrieving those error messages please?

Thank you

Maybe Gridshell.gha was renamed to something else? If you still have the "Gridshell" tab in Grasshopper, you can right-click on a component, then select "Component info" to get the path to the *.gha file that defines it. This could help you find the file you need to delete.

Or maybe you just have a slightly different error? If it's erroring on a different function, you are probably looking for another file from the Ecole des Ponts. If you do not see "Enable to launch the gridshell library. Please contact the author.", then it's probably not related to these components from the Ecole des Ponts.
