Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to get Mantis to work with Mathematica version 10.2 on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer but it keeps on giving this error (in Dutch):

1. Solution exception:De type-initialisatiefunctie voor Wolfram.NETLink.Internal.NativeLink heeft een uitzondering veroorzaakt.

Or roughly translated:

the type initializer for wolfram.netlink.internal.nativelink threw an exception

I've allready copied the Wolfram.NETLink.dll to the components folder of Grasshopper (C:\Users\Patrick\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries) but with no result so far.

Please help! I really need to get this to work soon!

Best regards,

Patrick Marinus

Hi Patric

This is the solution that works with most of computers...

1) Mathematica 10 doesn't install the MathLink libraries to \Windows\System32 or System.... So copy the ml64i4.dll from this link

C:\Program Files\Wolfram Research\Mathematica\10.0\SystemFiles\Links\MathLink\DeveloperKit\Windows-x86-64\SystemAdditions\ml64i4.dll

and past it with Mantis.gha and the newest Wolfram.NETLink.dll file as you did...... That worked with windows 7 64bit  and mathematica 10.0.2 and Rhino 5 SR 8 64bit

2) Moreover, sometimes you have to 1) change the user account control settings in the control panel to Never notify ---- 2) Unblock both the .dll and the .gha by right clicking in Windows File Explorer..

Please let me know if this fixes the issue...

Thanks for your reply!

The first solution you described worked for me. I guess i tried this before because i allready saw several topics about this problem with this solution. Don't understand why it's working now, but i'm glad it is!

Thanks for your help!
