I think this is a bug...

I've noticed that if I have a tree, and one of the branches in that tree is an empty list (I believe it would be considered Null), that branch is not passed through to a cluster.  But any component receiving the tree within the cluster kinda acts like the branch is still there, but it is shifted to the end of the stack which messes up the tree structure.  Hopefully the image and file will make clear what I'm seeing....

Yes, this has been noted a few times, it's definitely a bug:

The workaround in the first link may help - essentially adding null items to empty branches. 

Thanks Andrew. Somehow I missed the other threads. I'll stop trying to figure out what's going on and just implement a workaround while waiting for the bug fix.
