Well basicly they are extrusions from a voronoi diagram along a random xyz vector, then the spikes are a extrusion of the top face to a point. :)

This is incredible! I've been trying to learn Grasshopper for quite a while, hoping to achieve something like this - is there any chance you'd let me have a look at the definition, or talk me through how you went about creating this amazing generator? Seriously impressive!
