algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Region detection based on the geometrical characteristics of a mesh. The algorithm just needs the number of regions. In this example detection is based on the angle between the faces and face to face traversal distance. Still the algorithm can make use of any mesh characteristic or even outside guide data (like guide geometry)

what about irregular surfaces that not necessarily have a square shape and most part of the panel are trimmed by the boundary of the irregular free surface ? Thanks

nice feature! any attempts to translate the regions into an approximation of planer or single curved surfs? (im aware that this is not trivial at all :))
