WeaverBird - mesh topologies in Grasshopper

Topologies in Grasshopper

WeaverBird is a plug-in for topological transformations in Rhino 4.0 and Grasshopper 0.8. It helps smoothing, modifying and preparing meshes for rapid manufacturing technologies from within Grasshopper.

Contains these commands:
  • Catmull-Clark smoothing
  • Split mesh into Quads
  • Loop smoothing
  • Split mesh with inner face
  • Sierpinsky Triangles subdivision
  • Frame
  • Sierpinsky Carpet
  • Window
  • more...

Hi Giulio !

Would you have any examples of how to use the new wbblur and smoothing component in Weaverbird ? It'd be great to know more.

Is there no Weaverbird group in the main page?

Greetings from London!

Arthur

Hi Guilio,

I actually just stumbled upon this discussion which helped to achieve what I was after.

Guilio,

Is there a way to vary the thickness in your LAN shelling definition?
For example, the midpoint of line is half the width of its endpoints.

Thanks,
Matt

Done. Thanks again.

Yes, the example does not work because there are no mesh primitives (like Prism or Pyramid). I did not make them yet after the switch to RhinoCommon. I'll do my best and integrate them again! For now, you could try inputting some other simple mesh...
