"Or you could just connect it directly to a loft component, set the loft as "straight". If you to explode the 3 resulting polysurfaces use the "brep components" component followed by a "shift paths" component."

"1. add shift list component (Sets panel) with W input set to false 2. connect to current data tree (as seen in your image) graft component (data tree should look like {A;B} now) 3. connect to current data tree shift list component from pt.1 and then…"

Data Tree question

Hi everyone,I'm spending hours looking forum and trying to find the simplest solution. I'm also a beginner in terms of expressions and path mapper.I have the data tree like this:Basically I have three surfaces(panels) with 29 lines on each and i need to loft these lines in a way that 1st line lofted with the 2nd, 2nd with 3rd and so on.…See More

Andrew Heumann replied to trashtalkep's discussion Sorting list problem
"The easiest way I know to do this is to pass the list through the mass addition component. Conveniently, when converted to numbers, falses evaluate to zero, and trues evaluate to one. You'll get the lists: 0 0 0 4   Passing such a list…"

"Thank you for your help! Yeah, the problem was with the list that had branches, so the flatten tree component solved this."

Manuel replied to trashtalkep's discussion How to use scale component?
"maybe the problem is that you already have one list separated in different branchs, so you need to match the tree structure path. Go to view -> activate draw fancy wires and see if you segmented lines (list splits in different paths). Perhaps you…"

"Hi I'm a beginner like you, but maybe you can try this. http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/17/2146538/9_lines.zip I'm sure there is a simplest way, but this is my way. Let me know. Paolo"

Manuel replied to trashtalkep's discussion How to use scale component?
"i hope you are using the ...0019 version. maybe you need to split the list in differents branchs: try with the graft tree component in the lines and in the scale factor, then try with the scale component (input the two graft tree)."

Vicente Soler replied to trashtalkep's discussion How to use scale component?
"It should work as you suspected. You may be getting 81 lines instead of 9 either because you've set the component as "cross-reference" or you've got one of the lists divided into different paths."

How to scale component?

Hi guys, I m the very beginner so I 've got the second problem:I'm trying to scale a list of 9 lines by list of 9 scale factors using scale component but in the result I'm getting 81 lines instead of 9 lines scaled one by one scale factor. I need fist line scaled by first scale factor, second by second and e.c.I'm wondering does it work this way or there are some alternative ways of handle this or maybe there are some options in this component?See More
