David Rutten replied to louis gadd's discussion cranked line problem..with a bit of pythagoras' theorem !
"louis, that shouldn't happen. Assuming a long enough segment can be created, they should all end up with the length you input via the slider control. If the new segments had the same length as the old segments then the shape is necessarily…"

"hi pep thanks for your reply, as you say using circles is an option, the reason i was reluctant to go down that route and was keen to pursue a coded approach was that i ve found in the past that when using a circle to generate an intersection you…"

"Hi David thank so much for your speedy response, its actually subtley different from your attached example, as you know in your example the original line segment and the generated cranked line segment have the same length. what i looked to solve…"

Pep Tornabell replied to louis gadd's discussion cranked line problem..with a bit of pythagoras' theorem !
"I think you could do that by drawing a cirlce at the start of the line, with the known radius (the fixed lenght) and check where it intersects the vertical lines (point C), that should be the start point of the new line and the center of the new…"

"that would work too... but then you wouldn't really need a for loop."

Vicente Soler replied to louis gadd's discussion exporting multiple files....
"My guess is that you incorrectly placed the last graft component after the polyline component when it should be after the expression component. If you do that switch it should work fine."

Suryansh Chandra replied to louis gadd's discussion exporting multiple files....
"Its just a problem of how you handle data trees. Flatten your input to curves, and check 'list' on your filename input. The exporting needs to happen within the loop, since you need 6 different files. So I tweaked your code a…"
