Ladybug

Ladybug is a free and open source environmental plugin for Grasshopper to help designers create an environmentally-conscious architectural design. Ladybug allows you to: import and analyze standard weather data in Grasshopper; draw diagrams like Sun-path, wind-rose, radiation-rose, etc; customize the diagrams in several ways; run radiation analysis, shadow studies, and view analysis for your design inside Grasshopper!Ladybug only works on Rhino 5.0. Unfortunately, there is no version for Rhino…See More

"I used it, and under the file name it shows that it is loading it from C:\Program files\Grasshopper for Rhino 5\GrasshopperPlugin.rhp. which is the right location. However, when I start GH, it loads the 20120928 version one, which is for Rhino 4. I…"

"Thanks David; Yes I think the problem is that there seems to be another copy of GH that gets loaded, which is dated Sep 28, 2012. I don't know where is it located on the system though!. I thought it may be loading it from Rhino 4, but even when…"

Weaverbird - Topological Mesh Editor

Weaverbird is a topological modeler that contains many of the known subdivision and transformation operators, readily usable by designers. Instead of doing the work repeatedly, or sometimes using complicated scripts, this plug-in helps reconstructing shapes as meshes, subdivides and refines even polyline lists, and helps preparing the model for fabrication. Weaverbird is the first released addon for Grasshopper but the group is new, so please join it to participate in discussions, ask questions…See More

Divide a surface based on its curviture

Hi network ...Can we divide a surface based on its curvature so that the flat parts of the surface get less dense divisions, while the curvy parts get denser division proportionate with their curvature degree? I am trying to get a division effect that is similar to an organic tissue which distributes denser fiber in the curvy parts, and vise verse. Many thanksSee More
