Hi I had similar problem and just solve it with changing scale factor in rhino options as 0.9 and it works

Hi YJ,   very few floating point operations are exact in computing. Rotating and even moving an object will in some very small way deform it. When checking for planarity (or any other geometric and numeric property, distance, angles, equality,…

Loosing planarity when curve is transformed?

Hi, all, Just curious why the curve is loosing the planarity when it is transformed. 1. Draw the planar curve on global plane.2. duplicate the curve, and transform plane to plane into another 100 number of 3d position. (due to the different orient of plane, it is moved and rotated) Now, some of the curve isn't any more planar. (but deviation from curve plane is really tiny) Which step is causing to loose planarity? Is it due to the duplicate tolerance? or transform process? Thanks!See More

What I just have realised, trimed other side Brep were displayed as above image (I thought this is not working correctly), but then I baked these, the geometry is correct. I guess something is related with display......

Trimming Brep with Plane Help!

Hi, all, Please, see the attached image. I have problem about Trimming Brep with plane, with below code, 'Brep.Trim(Plane, 0.001);' As you can see it is trimmed and I could get side Breps. But, I tried to get other side with fiiped plane (I guess trimming with plane related with plane normal, right?) Then, it doesn't work. Let me know any idea! Thanks.See More

Oh, sorry, I thought he was picking the point on mesh while it is deforming, but I just realised it is pre-refered at beginning as restrained points.

You'd have to ask Daniel how it's done, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary here. He probably referenced some Rhino point objects, then used those to control Kangaroo inputs.   He's doing it in Rhino5 since…

Hi YJ,   you cannot pick Grasshopper points in Rhino. They don't exist as far as Rhino is concerned.   What you can do is reference an existing Rhino point object. When you go to specify a point in the Point Parameter dropdown menu…

Pick up grasshopper point in rhino?

Just wondering how I can pick up grasshopper point in rhino and move it? Some of video shows picking point, then move it by using 3 axis gismo... Let me know any key words to look at it! Thanks!!See More

David Rutten replied to YJ's discussion 'x.Count()....... working at my computer'
Hi YJ,   there is no autofixing. Is it the same versions of Grasshopper? The same version of .NET?   Count is most likely a Property and as such should not have brackets. VB is fairly forgiving in that it will allow you to put brackets…

x.Count()....... working at my computer

Hi, all. I've just realised using 'x.Count()' is working at my computer (Windows 7). but, when I open the defintion at other computer (Windows XP), it isn't working.....and, this makes sense. I just wonder why it is working at my computer? Is there any kind of auto fixing code at Windows 7? Thanks!See More

SweepOneRail question.

Hi, all, Could I know why SweepOneRail generates 'Brep[]' rather than 'Brep'?-------------------------------------------Brep mybrep; //works with 'Brep[] mybrep' heresweepOneRail beam = new SweepOneRail();mybrep = beam.PerformSweep(rail, section); //Error: Canonot implicitly convert type 'Rhino.Geometry.Brep[]' to 'Rhino.Geometry.Brep'------------------------------------------- Thanks!  See More

YJ, the code is all in GH by declaring variables outside of the subroutine. I was hoping to use a version of the code for a project but will soon post something on our blog once we develop it a little further.
