David, thanks for the quick response. it wasn't exactly what i meant (i know i didn't explain myself too well....). i managed to solve it though. each list was being split by 1 curve, splitting the lists in different places. i…

splitting lists at different points

ladies and gents. i need some serious help here. i have a 5 sets of listed points (all 0 to 30). i need to split these lists, but each at a different place within its set. i'd go by seperating each set, but the place where each list will split is dependent upon a referenced point which moves, therefore never being constant.any suggestion?cheers.See More

As a matter of fact it is always hard to understand the problem with other persons GH. GH sometimes does what is sensible but we do not understand its logic.Anyway if I could be able to perceive your desired result: 1. you should set up a data tree…

hey, could you post your outcome by any chance. i'm going through what i think may be a similar issue and can't resolve it... cheers.

twisting surfaces array

Hello.am fairly new to GH. i have created a surface that twists differently depending on the distance to a point attractor and it's falloff, keeping the width of the surface constant.i am trying (for now) to do 2 things with this:1) array this system by means of series or range in the Y axis, aligning the array so that at the ends of the surfaces the corners are locked to one another.and2) so that the point attractor allows rotation in both directions, depending on which side of the surface…See More

Wojciech, I can send you a GH-Ecotect interface script - I was writing a plugin but unfortunately Ecotect support is pretty much non-existent and it was impossible to get something running smoothly between the two. The script takes input surfaces and exports them out as GB_XML elements and written as an XML file, the file is then called into Ecotect via a sendkeys call using LUA (ecotects scripting enviro). LUA can then be scripted to call simulation routines with the data then sent out as an XML or txt document which GH can be streaming for updates.

Give me your email address and I'll send through the script.
