"Depending on your needs, you could either jitter a list known to only contain unique numbers or remove duplicates from any random list by making it a set: "

"Does anyone know how to make sure that the Random engine will not give the same number twice? I need to set the engine to produce about 5000 numbers so it will delete about 1000 items, and it's not very accurate. "

"Hi Oz, Here is a methodology: 1. take a surface 2. Panellize it (divide or isotrim) 3. Cull random 4. Scale remaining cells randomly or not (graph - attractors) from their centroids 5. Loft the grafted cells 6. Done ps. you can also apply this…"

Facade Options

Hi, I'm working on a huge project for university and currently busy with a facade.I was asked to try "hundreds of options" and I thought it might be a good task for GH.Basically, my facade is of a huge wall with lots of holes in it.(I'm working on a grid because it's more comfortable for me, but if it's easier to do without it, It might change) I tried before to create a definition that will randomally reduce some of the grid parts, but it gives  messy facades.I think that the big problem is…See More

Hannes Löschke replied to OZ's discussion Brick Wall Pattern
"With any static grid you need to limit the amout of shift and rotation you can apply to the individual stone. I think it best to limit the problem to flat walls and only so much of displacement and rotation, that the bricks don't…"
