"Hi Al, I don't quite understand your question.  I don't know how you would create an untrimmed surface from the edge curves but you can certainly extract the edge curves.   "

"Hi Alberto, just skip the last mesh-component and you are left with a trimmed surface. Not sure, but I believe that Chris used it to get a nicer preview of the surface. Without it the surface looks a bit odd, but once you bake it you'll notice…"
