Waffles, eggcrates: is there a definite definition? Or any software that can do it?

Hi!I am rather new to GH, and I have a slight problem. I made this way too complicated model that I need to reproduce IRL, and I figure a dense waffle/eggcrate contstruction treated with resin,…Continue

Measure distance between centroid and all points within 1 voronoi cell

Hi!I am trying to measure the distance between the centroid and all other points within  the voronoi cell containing it, and I would like to do this to multiple voronoi cells. I am new to this, and…Continue

How to make mesh flow around objects

Hi!I am pretty new to GH, and I am looking for a way to make a mesh flow around objects. I have simple site model with volumes on it, and would like to have the mesh flow over and around the volums…Continue

"Hi! I just downloaded Karamba trial about an hour ago, and I cant get going with my model. I have an interlocking structure (eggcrated, see picture: there is an error in that the long beams should rest on the arcs, not the other way around as it is…"

"try autodesk 123d make, export the shape you already have in .obj and try to see if with several layers of material you can approach the shape you are looking for, somehow abstract but it may work, http://www.123dapp.com/make"

"The boxes are capped extrudes that I have booleaned into a big polysrf. I have non-booleaned shapes as well if need be.  Any other ideas on making the model are also welcome :-)"

Waffles, eggcrates: is there a definite definition? Or any software that can do it?

Hi!I am rather new to GH, and I have a slight problem. I made this way too complicated model that I need to reproduce IRL, and I figure a dense waffle/eggcrate contstruction treated with resin, plaster or any filler of some sort may do the trick. The problem is: I dont have the skill to make a definition myself and I cannot find one that manages the job. Now the question: is there a definition out there that is the go-to definition? Or are there other pieces of software that does this better…See More

"Hi Martin, What do you mean by "all other points within the voronoi cell containing it"? If you mean the vertices of each cell, here is the solution. Good luck and don't OD the voronoi!"

"Thanks for the directions, will look them up immediately. Yes, the new architecture can flow over multiple buildings: every new city block will have a least one bridge to another new city block."

"The Cocoon marching cubes plugin will accept surfaces to create a smooth isofield around them. However, if you're skinny spaces are kept clear you'll have to be using a small radius/power setting, so will just give bigger blobbier versions…"
