The Point on curve slider seems to be working correctly. Is there a way to trim the line after that indicated starting point, or indeed extend the curving line to join a perpendicular line?

the curves come out of a Join component. My guess is that these arcs fold back onto themselves because you're joining a large arc with a small arc that is coincident with the large arc. Hook these curves up to a Point On Curve…"
