Gene Pool with a Gene Count input

I David,Is it feasible to add a Gene Count input base on a list length? This would solve the issue of having a project that may have a number of elements that changes for different reasons and each one of them needs a Slider. To design in advance trying to cover the possible number of Sliders, that can go from one to 100, for example, is counterproductive. For example, we can graduate an arbitrary number of objects individually. The "arbitrary" List Length would add accordingly to the Gene Count…See More

Mark replied to RWNB's discussion how to change the domain of the inner-pt of the curve?
"This is what I use for some of my projects. You can choose the Start and End length of a curve and the middle is the subcurve. It's limited, for is about a specific task, but you may be able to modify to fit your needs."

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the nice comment about my website. I haven't updated it in years.. really need to  do something with it. I used to work closely with a company that was the US reseller for ArtCAM, so I did a lot of work in it several years ago, but Rhino has always been a mainstay for me. I've been doing a lot of my NURBS modeling in MoI3d, but always go back to Rhino for the more advanced operations..the nice thing is you can cut and paste a 3dm file between the two programs, so it's a seamless compatibility. However, I've recently decided I need to dig into Rhino 5 and get as up to date as I can with it, and make an effort to learn more about Grasshopper. I've employed some scripting for Rhino from stuff I've gathered from the Rhino NG,

but it's never been my strength, so GH is going to be a challenge for sure, but the potential is so vast that I think it's definitely worth the learning curve.

Would you have any recommendations as to how I might get started with GH?  I know...Read the tutorials and practice, practice, practice..ask questions and then ask more questions..:-) I feel so stupid when I have to learn something new from the beginning, but what other choice it there?
