This is exactly what I was trying to study for the crowd generator. Thanks for sharing.

Loved your concept :)

Thank you Marc, I was thinking about asking some help, but because my knowledge of grasshopper is still very limited, I would like to squeeze my mind further, before giving up. I made a list of about 10 points of development and functionality, which…

Fair enough... I appreciate that you are attempting something other than a twisting tower. If you need any help with any of the goals you mention, I'm happy to help you, because this could be a really useful tool if refined.

I could see this being helpful for quick study renders, but I have to say that a pseudo random placement of people is one of my biggest pet peeves in renderings. People just don't behave that way... if there was a way to incorporate flocking data, n…

Fantastic! Can I ask you what Arduino set you used? Thank you

I created 3D points first from OS data using a script i found on this site, then created a delauany mesh through the points, which gave me a very accurate form. Next i patched a surface through the same 3D points and adjusted the patch options until i got a result that was very close to the original 3d mesh.
When comparing the surface contour curves to the original OS contours, they are smoother of course, but essentially the shape is the same.
What sort of tolerance do you consider to be accurate?

Hi Luca,

Regarding the contour lines on my model, you're correct the surface is a patched surface, but the contour lines themselves are created in Rhino using the 'contour' command.

Hi Luca, I used 3DSMax and vRay for the rendering. I also used vRay toon effect to create the lines. I've exported the model from Rhino to 3DSMax using IGES format.
cheers
