I´m sorry, I made a screenshot. I don´t think the graft component will be of any help. Basicly I have a list of points and I want to extract a variable number of points out of the list a number of times (the number of braches). One time…

J.Filigran replied to Eli Allen's discussion 'Weaving Points'
Hello, I just tried it and it works for me. The weaving component treats the input as generic data, hence the output should still be points. The output of the weave component should be you list of points in the correct order. I just attached the…

J.Filigran replied to a-ngine's discussion 'Point clusters'
There is a component which is named -Closest Point- Inputs are: the point to search from, and the set of points to run through. If the point you search from is in the same list then you would need to create a new list and exclude that point.

You could find the closest neighbor for each point and then measure the distance between them. With a dispatch command you either let them be or if they go below a certain distance create a line and get the midpoint, as you suggested. It should…

Tree behaviour of List Item component

Hello,I attached data to the -Base list- input. For the index I have several groups of numbers which I feed into the index plug. If I analyze the output with the -Param viewer- it says the result is a single branch. Shouldn´t there be as many branches as groups of numbers I fed into the index input? How could I achieve that without repetitive structures?See More

It looks to me like the skin of an animal contracting as a response to some exterior agent. I like it.

I think it might be that the definitions have been made in a prior version of GH and that causes problems because GH is evolving so rapidly. "Grasshopper files are not necessarily forwards compatible and this file might not deserialize…

J.Filigran replied to Maria Vas's discussion 'irregular grid'
That sounds quite complicated to me. Is it of essence that the cubes touch each other or should there just be no gaps? If the latter is the case you could just scale all the boxes (with a gradient) with a factor >= 1 (one value for each box). But…

I know what would happen to me: while attaching the components to the final surfaces to bake I would clumsily misshit the shift button and I´d need to do everything from scratch..

I noticed that this way everytime you want to select 3 points you always get the same three points selected. I took the freedom to add another slider that adjusts the seed value for the Jitter component.

I think it is very possible. Imagine a series of simple boxes on a surface. Then you add a rotation axis to each box and with a function you declare the different opening angles (for example dependent on the distance from a certain referenced…

It works if you press the shift button while attaching the second(-to-nth) stream.

Hello! I played around a bit. The attached definition tries to find the axis for the objects automaticly and then procedes to generate the sections. You just need to reference the Surface. The result is not always complete when the object is too bent…

J.Filigran replied to J. Pyeatt's discussion 'Subtraction: Perforating a Surface?'
Hello! I think the Rhino doesn´t like the fact that the center of your extruded ellipses is exactly on the edge of the Brep you want to subtract from. Also the "Surface From Points" you created results in 2 congruent surfaces.…
