assign geometry and collision avoidance on swarm particles

Hey guys! Here is my problem. In the attached swarm particles GH file you will find the releant configuration for flocking behavior. The thing is that the code is generating 3dpoints instead of actual…Continue

Hey!I have included the file that reproduces swarm (flocking) behavior inside grasshoper, using scripted language. The currently moving particles are nodes (points) and I would like instead to attack…Continue

multiple particle groups for flocking

Greetings!Initially I would like to thank you for the great sharing of the locust plugin - it really helped me a lot so far.I would like to know some things though before I proceed with my project. Is it possible to create another bunch (group) of particles (in the same environment) that is combined to the central locust brain, so as the 2 groups move independantly to each other? - and this brings me to my second question which is "can these 2 groups somehow interact afterwards? (be aligned…See More

"They are hardcoded in the script, but you can change them manually. Double click on the second VB component to open the code editor and search (ctrl+f) for the lines: sep *= 1.2 ali *= 1.2 coh *= 1.5 Try tweaking those values. You can also search…"

"Hehe! thanks! with the new version it works smoothly! The thing is that you cannot control some parameters like "cohesion" etc, which although can be done in the file I uploaded... but this can also be fixed right? "

"no I just downloaded them straight from your links. the VB script located right next to the random component is the problematic one. I 'm using GH version 0.9.0006 and Rhino 4.0 :) thanks again for your help!"
