not printing objects that are behind a surface ?

Hi, Probably not the best place to post this question. But I have a quite large facade which i divided in different pieces. Each panel received a text dot and text tag through grasshopper. However when I print a certain view text tags from another facade also get printed. Which gives a quite unclear picture. Is there an advanced setting in Rhino to compensate for this ? Without "hiding" every text tag which is in the way manually. Or is there a grasshopper way to do this ? thanks in advance.  See More

"Hi Carlo,   there's all kinds of things that could make a surface (especially a brep) invalid. If you feed the invalid object into the [Null] component, it will tell you why the shape is invalid. It's probably going to be a bit…"

Invalid Surface ?

Hey there, I'm having a an issue with the concept invalid surfaces. I'm using a script and i need to cut up an exisiting rhino surface ( not planar) into different smaller pieces using certain parameters. However using Surface Split component I sometimes keep getting and "invalid surface". And I cannot cut up this "invalid surface". Any pointers on how to get a normal surface, or even what this error means ?  Thanks in advance.  See More

To high spring stiffness causes model to "explode"

Hey, I'm trying to observe and compare kangaroo to ANSYS (FE method) in a small example in my work.I'm well known to the compatible unit systems (m - N - Pa) (mm - N - Mpa) etc.I presume spring stiffness can be chosen as A*E/L if I want to model a beam. (L = total length, A = cross section, E = 200GPa steel)However the model will "explode" during the simulation if I change the stiffness higher than 6000 +/-.Is this a kangaroo problem or is the structure too stiff above that number, and thus a…See More
