Hi all,I have a grasshopper/math question. Is there an algorithm or method for finding the maximum circle that can be inscribed inside a curve? I've found a way of finding the minimum enclosing…Continue

"you can perhaps use Rhino 5 and Python for Rhino or Python for Grasshopper and import needed dll to python. Python is one of glue programming language, which can good import already existing dlls."

library for matrix manipulation (in particular svd)

Hi all,I have been working on a project which involves creating 3D models in Rhino and Grasshopper and then using the model to run some simulations under seismic loads. I have been able to create a visual post-processor in processing to visualize the movement of the model but I have been thinking that it might be useful to have a way to bring back the results of my simulation back into Rhino so that I can see how the model behaves as well as create more appealing graphical renderings for…See More

List of points on parallel planes

Hi all,I have a new problem (nothing new about me having problems). I have a set of meshes which have at least two parallel faces with the same number of points describing the faces. The points on both planes also completely describe the object. Now I would like to export this information into a text file. What I essentially need is an ordered list of points on two parallel planes which can be lofted and capped to generate the same shape. Another way to say this is that I am trying to describe…See More

Dealing with Null items

Hi all,I have a set of points and I would like to search through a point cloud and find the closest point to each of the original points. Then I would like to have a logic which basically looks at the distance between the closest point and the original point and if it is larger than a certain amount, it would just return the original point; if it is smaller, then it would  return the closest point it had found. Now the logic below works well for this purpose. However, sometimes the point cloud…See More
