baking in groups

Hi Andrew,

what is the typical input for the group part when baking?

For now I'm baking hatches and text for different colored daylight plans. I'd love to have them grouped for each room.

One challenge is however that in each room there may be several hatches that are on different layers (and getting colored by layer).

I have control over my data trees, no problem for me. But I've tried different inputs as group, and usually it ends up adding things to existing groups in the model.

I even tried to input a number, lets say 10000 + random. That didnt work as planned either.

Hi Mathias -

The way groups work in rhino (and consequently in Human) is that each group has an index. If you try to use an existing group index, it makes sense that objects will be added to the group with that index. Your strategy for using an arbitrarily high group index makes sense - just make sure all the objects you want to belong to the same group share the same index (and that the value is an integer).
