To improve the definition, I would try to add a tangential force to the pendulum to enable some sort of perpetual movement.
Perhaps someone can chip in and provides some suggestions as to whether and how it is possible to do this in Kangaroo ?

Are you using a curve to select cells in a voronoi subdivided rectangular prism? Really nice way of generating a very "stony" looking structure.
