Simulating a three pointed catenary dome in Kangaroo and optimize its shape in Galapagos: I wanted to find a certain set of chain lengths that returns a dome which is tangent to a reference roof plane in the joint point. Also the dome should touch the reference plane in (and only in) that point.

Form finding of the cantilever curves (sub curves of catenaries) and the catenary arches between two curves. This was also done with Galapagos (create catenary -> change it until it fits and touches the reference roof plane) rhino > grasshopper > kangaroo > bend force testtag:www.grasshopper3d.com,2011-12-15:2985220:Video:4991202011-12-15T08:57:50.942ZJacek Jaskólskihttps://www.grasshopper3d.com/profile/JacekJaskolski
