An efficient structural system minimizes wind loads while creating highly flexible floor plates that accommodate the office and hotel program requirements. A central concrete core and sloping perimeter columns support composite steel floor framing and truss deck slabs. Eight corners mega-columns slope outward to open up large, flexible floor plates. As the corner columns move further apart, secondary perimeter columns branch out to maintain equal column bays. Above the lobby, a Vierendeel transfer truss transfers the secondary columns to the corner columns, creating an open lobby space below.
At the tower's crown, the primary corner columns extend upward to a truss at the top level. The crown consists of hangers and spandrels braced back to the central concrete core with a series of struts. These work in tandem to support MEP equipment, along with concealed building maintenance systems.

References:
https://www.som.com/projects/hangzhou...
https://www.som.com/news/som_reveals_...

Follow our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/iaengineergroup
Follow our Instagram page: www.instagram.com/iaengineergroup/
Follow Us on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/iaen...
Visit Our Website: www.iaenggroup.com

#architecture #computationaldesign #generativedesign #algorithmicdesign #rhino3d #grasshopper #GHPython # HangzhouWangchaoCenter #tower #iaengineeringgroup Twisted Tower tag:www.grasshopper3d.com,2021-10-18:2985220:Video:2213553 2021-10-18T12:37:17.646Z Iyhab Imad https://www.grasshopper3d.com/profile/IyhabImad

A combination of using a basic computational design technic to create a twisted tower based on a polygon shape plan “here: three segments” with a simple GHPython script to create the structure.

Knowing, although the definition could be modified at any time to achieve a certain result, the structural elements will keep their same relationship with each other in any circumstance.…

A combination of using a basic computational design technic to create a twisted tower based on a polygon shape plan “here: three segments” with a simple GHPython script to create the structure.
Knowing, although the definition could be modified at any time to achieve a certain result, the structural elements will keep their same relationship with each other in any circumstance.

Subscribe to our YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCd1gfJw98vNnpzx1IYixSKw
Follow our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/iaengineergroup
Follow our Instagram page: www.instagram.com/iaengineergroup/
Follow Us on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/iaengineeringgroup
Visit Our Website: www.iaenggroup.com The foldable skyscraper tag:www.grasshopper3d.com,2021-10-18:2985220:Video:2213480 2021-10-18T12:17:33.944Z Iyhab Imad https://www.grasshopper3d.com/profile/IyhabImad

The foldable skyscraper “collapsable skyscraper” designed by Damian Granosik, Jakub Kulisa, and Piotr Pańczyk came first place in the annual eVolo skyscraper competition. - The flattened structure is designed to be packed into a box only as wide as the building's base, so it can be suspended under military helicopters. This would help aid workers access remote locations that trucks might not be able to reach if roads become impassable. - Inside, the team imagined the skyscraper could host a reception area, first aid bays, temporary housing, safe and dry storage space, and even a "vertical farm that uses soil gathered during anchoring".

Subscribe to our YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCd1gfJw98vNnpzx1IYixSKw
Follow our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/iaengineergroup
Follow our Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/iaengineerg...
Follow Us on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/iaen...
Visit Our Website: http://iaenggroup.com/
