the skin was created using Weaver-bird. the skin's gaps dimensions were controlled by solar ray position. I had to write some scripting codes inside VB component to be able to do this. the concept were as follow:

1- getting the Normal of Mesh faces

2- calculating thee angle between each mesh normal and the solar ray 

3- setting gaps dimension  according to angels.
