@Daniel Piker: I tried out your definition, it is a very interesting approach. However a small but solvable problem is that the distances or Jansen's 11 magic numbers are not adjustable while the object is in movement

Sorry I thought you asked for this definition a while back.

Based on the Gif I just found here is a very crude definition. I don't know if its correct but it looks similar. See what you think.

@Danny haha 2 months? I started the project last friday and its really about building it. So we were going to use the sizes from the original creator Theo Jansen, but if something was ready i might try to change or improve it for the context we are using it in. Which will be partially submerged in the dutch canels.

@Michiel, do you mean to say that in 2 months you haven't been able to come up with something yourself?

Here's a gif of the method used. It's all about circle/circle intersections.

Hi, I would really like get your definition, as I am planning to build one and this would give us a great tool to see what happens when you change parameters. Michielspaapen@gmail.com

hello daniel, thanks for your link, I am gonna check it out. I am curious how you solved it

It is a different approach to the same problem (using springs instead of intersecting circles), but there is a definition of this mechanism in the new collection of Kangaroo example definitions, in the "Kinetic" folder.
