algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Rough check that the bending behaviour in Kangaroo is physically correct.
It works in 3D too, but this is a little harder to show in this way.

tried to modify the bendingexample.ghx in the manner that the rod changes its stiffness - but failed. can anybody help? thanks!

Thanks all. Harri - yes it works for closed lines.

It has sliders for how many points you pull from and how strongly towards the centre.

 

The actual behaviour of a sheet is a little more complicated though, as the shear resistance comes into play. There are some examples of tackling this here:
